What to do with your whole cacao beans and nibs:
Add them to yogurt, ice cream, fresh fruit or granola.
Add to trail mix, muffins, cookies, granola bars.
Add one bean or nibs to a banana slice then freeze. Pop in your mouth for a chilly sugar free ice cream flavor.
Add any fun spice like cinnamon or chili powder.
Stuff them inside a date and freeze them. Try adding a slice of banana or your favorite nut. Serve Frozen.
Add them to a smoothie before and/or after blending depending on how much crunch you like.
Add them to nut butter, oats, dried fruit, coconut oil and your favorite sweetener and fridge in balls for a healthy sweet.
Add them right to the coffee grinder with the coffee beans, brew and enjoy.
Add about two cups of nibs to 3/4 gallon of cold water and let sit for 30 hours. Strain and add maple syrup for a delightful fresh iced cacao tea. Try adding anise or a pinch of cayenne.
Add to a salad.
Top a creamy or oil-based truffle pasta!
Put equal parts coffee, black pepper and cacao beans or nibs in a coffee grinder and use as a rub for beef and pork.
Pop them in your mouth just as they are as they do in South America.
Please invent many more ways to use these lovely little gems.
Let's share in the wealth. Let's share in the health.
Adoringly yours,
Living Chocolate
